Galápagos Land Iguana

The Galápagos land iguana is a fascinating reptile, known for its ability to survive in harsh, arid environments. In zoos, they are provided with warm, rocky enclosures that mimic their volcanic island homes.

A particularly curious iguana named Titan became famous for his love of exploring. Zookeepers would hide food in different parts of his enclosure, encouraging him to climb and dig.
